With over 25 years of experience, Summer d. Olweiler has been involved in many aspects of stage performance: directing, acting, writing, set and costume design/construction, technical assistance, and production direction.
Summer has either directed or participated in various show venues: community performances, collegiate stage, dinner theatre, experimental theatre, church presentations, repertoire shows, professional Shakespeare Festivals, and, for two years, volunteered with America's premier show group, Re-Creation.
With concentrated experience in collegiate performance, Summer has acquired techniques and ideas for designing and constructing practical, durable, and captivating costumes for any performance venue, and ultimately, for all apparel applications. Applying that expertise to more than just performance costumes, she brings unsurpassed knowledge and experience to all her clients.
Summer holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX. During a major in Theatre, with an emphasis in Acting & Directing, Summer had concentrations in Costume Techniques/Applications and Costume Design Theory. She resides near Hershey, PA with her husband and two children.
